Version: Full Last Release. Spate tells the story of an unfortunate detective. The hero was abandoned by his wife, and his daughter died.

He himself was addicted to absinthe. Suffering from alcoholism and depression, the detective takes on the case of the disappearance of a very successful businessman. Going in search of a rich man, the protagonist finds himself on a decaying island. It used to be a popular vacation spot, but now people disappear there in a strange fog.

The story has two endings. Spate is a 2D platformer with a psychological thriller vibe. Periodically, the hero drinks alcohol. Alcohol makes it possible to bounce higher and move faster, but in return changes his perception of the world, repainting it in different colors and making the screen shake.

The game has physics puzzles in which you can shoot cannonballs. There are also moments with flights on a strange apparatus. There are no battles with opponents. Instead, traps and obstacles are dangerous.

Periodically, the protagonist experiences hallucinations. With some fruit of the imagination, they are allowed to communicate. An indie project is short, and it takes about an hour and a half to complete.
